Volunteer Android App Developer

BorrowCup is a data driven reusable cup initiative, we enable people to borrow a reusable cup and return it later. BorrowCup’s goal is to get rid of the need for disposable coffee cups and its associated waste. We do this by making it convenient to be sustainable.

BorrowCup is currently partnering with three cafes at Monash University. To facilitate a convenient experience for users, we have 22 return bins around the Clayton campus. Together with our community  we’ve already diverted 8,000 disposable coffee cups from landfill and are scaling rapidly.

As an Android App Developer in our team of volunteers, you will get the opportunity to solve technical problems at small and large scale. The data collected from the application is used to track BorrowCup usage and return rates. This information is essential to our operations as it enables our environmental and social impact to be measured.
